About Leah

Hi!  I’m Leah and I currently live in Andover, MN. I am an elementary Physical Education teacher in the Anoka Hennepin School District as my full-time job. I have an amazing Cairn Terrier named Kami who I show in dog shows and agility performance.

Athletic Background

I have participated in gymnastics for 20 years, from when I was 3 until I was 23! I did gymnastics in college at UW-Whitewater, and it was such an amazing experience! During my senior year in college, we ended up winning a national championship, which was very special!

Finding CrossFit

After my gymnastics career was over, I needed something else that I could compete in but still have a little bit of gymnastics involved. I started going to Lifetime, and I was not enjoying working out by myself.  I was used to always having a coach tell me what to do, and I missed the team aspect as well. One of my friends mentioned that I should try SISU, and it was the perfect fit for me. I have a coach and a positive group of people every day to push me to be the best that I can be.

Why I Coach

I love to coach because it is amazing to see the growth and strength development in my athletes as they progress. I have always had a love for fitness and helping athletes be the best they can be.
